Fabric Day!

Published by lilarenas at 3:41 am under sewing Edit This

So Saturday, I went to the fabric store and stocked up on some super cute fabrics! I admit I got a lot, but it’s not like it won’t get used. So I just thought I’d pop in really quick and give you a quick preview of what I got, and some ideas of what I’ll do with it. Enjoy the showcase!

Here’s an adorable princess print, and some adorable pink with polka dots print fabric. I really love the way these two go together. Now for these fabrics I’m a bit undecided as to what type of outfit to make for the girl. I’m thinking of the apron front jumper (which I did for the girly’s Vday dress) http://youcanmakethis.com/info/featured-products/Make-an-Apron-Front-Jumper-Dress.htm, or a new pattern that just came out the simple sunday dress http://youcanmakethis.com/info/whats-new/Simple-Sunday-Dress-Sizes-6mths-6yrs.htm. Either or, I don’t think I can go wrong with these cute prints!

The girly loves her kitties, so these prints were a no brainer. Plus their super cute! I have it set in my mind that I’m going to make a criss cross dress http://youcanmakethis.com/info/featured-products/Adorable-Criss-Cross-Top-or-Dress.htm with this fabric, and it’s going to be great. Isn’t it cute?

I think this next set of fabrics will make another great criss cross dress, but then again maybe a boutique top and some boutique shorts http://youcanmakethis.com/info/featured-products/Bundle-Pack-Boutique-Dress-Top-and-Bottoms.htm, or even a twirl skort http://youcanmakethis.com/info/featured-products/Twirl-Skort.htm with some type of top. Who knows?

This next fabric combo will either turn into a criss cross dress or a miss molly sundress http://youcanmakethis.com/info/featured-products/Miss-Molly-Sundress-Sizes-18-mo-6-years.htm. Super cute fabric, and it might even double as a great fourth of July outfit.

The fabric on the left will either be a miss molly sundress on it’s own, or with the blue on the right as a wrap top dress (see the Vday dresses made for the nieces). Still don’t know about this one. If I don’t use the blue in a miss molly dress, then it’ll become some bloomers. The girly isn’t big on discretion and thinks dresses are funner if you lift them up and show everyone your belly button.

And here’s something special for the upcoming holiday! The hubby’s grandpa was Irish, so the kiddos still have a bit of Irish in them and I thought it would be great to let them flaunt it. The hubby loves the idea and can’t wait to see their new outfits. My girly will probably get a wrap dress or criss cross dress out of both fabrics. The boys will each get a nifty bowling shirt http://youcanmakethis.com/info/featured-products/Bowling-Shirt-Boys-Girls.htm out of the fabric on the right, and it’ll be paired with a solid green. Can’t wait to see them all dressed up!

And there you have it, the new haul of fabrics. I’m working on some of the other fabrics that I recently bought, so it might be a bit before you see anything out of these. And I’m on the hunt for some Easter fabric as well, so I might get side tracked yet again. Either way, I’ll be busy!
